The Brand
Intipalka
INTIPALKA” means “VALLEY OF THE SUN” in Quechua, the language used by the ancient Inca Empire. The name refers to the valley of ICA, where our wines and piscos are produced, which has been known since the Inca times as a remarkable agricultural land because of its exceptional soil and weather conditions. The Sun is the main source of energy for life on earth. Its energy is shown in various ways, the main ones being light and heat. Likewise, it constitutes the engine of life, of climatic phenomena and innumerable energy resources come from it. The Valley of the Sun holds one of the driest conditions on earth. But, between the folds of this arid landscape and granite soils, shrouded to the west by the Pacific Ocean and protected to the east by the Andes Mountains, this special valley only compares with the best wine-growing regions in the world.
